Zany Emote Dance: Make Your Own Viral TikTok Video

What Is the Zany Emote?

The Zany Emote is a Rare emote from Fortnite, added back in Chapter 1 Season 4 (2018). It costs 500 V-Bucks when it appears in the Item Shop. The dance itself is loosely based on the uncanny viral video of an alien called Popoy dancing to a remix of "Dame Tu Cosita" by El Chombo — bouncy, off-beat, and impossible not to watch.

For years the Zany Emote was just another old Fortnite dance. Then in October 2026, TikTok found it again.

Why the Zany Emote Is Viral on TikTok Right Now

The current Zany Emote TikTok trend runs on the sound "Zany Emote Fortnite" by CsCrafty — one of the most reused sounds on TikTok in October 2026. The format is simple and repeatable, which is exactly why it spreads:

• One recognizable dance. Everybody does the same Zany Emote choreography.
• An unexpected setting. The joke is where you do it — at work, in a grocery store, on a quiet street. The familiar moves plus the wrong place is the punchline.
• 20M+ views in a week across the trend, with the top single video passing 7.9M views.

That combination — a fixed dance plus an infinite number of settings — is the classic viral loop: easy to copy, fun to watch, and every new version feeds the sound page.

How to Do the Zany Emote Dance

1. Start bouncing. The Zany Emote is built on a constant knee bounce — stay loose and keep moving.
2. Arms wide, then swing. Throw your arms out to the sides and swing them in big exaggerated arcs on the beat.
3. Side steps. Step side to side while your upper body keeps the bounce going.
4. Playful poses. Hit a goofy freeze pose every few beats — the stranger the face, the better.
5. Pick your setting. Film it somewhere unexpected. That is the whole trend.
